Public Relations          


The Public Relations Department is responsible for defining, developing, and overseeing overall messaging and media strategy for LCPA’s performances, events and programs, and institutional initiatives. The department operates within the overall Marketing/Branding Department and collaborates closely with the marketing, content, and digital teams.

Internships with Lincoln Center Public Relations are designed to provide graduate students or college students who are pursuing, or considering pursuing, careers in arts administration, arts education, journalism or public relations (especially in entertainment or the performing arts) valuable, hands-on experience in all aspects of performing arts publicity in the active public relations office of one of the world’s leading performing arts organizations.

Under the guidance of senior staff members, the intern will be actively involved in the steps and tasks needed for creating, executing, and evaluating a successful publicity campaign. Tasks and projects will include: researching of outreach to influencers in social and traditional media; researching and gathering artist background materials; editing/writing press releases; assisting with coordinating electronic distribution of press releases; tracking/compiling press clips; preparing statistics on press coverage. 

Programs and projects during this time period include:
White Light Festival, American Song Book, Great Performers, Live from Lincoln Center, Friends of Lincoln Center Membership, Programming at the David Rubenstein Atrium, Lincoln Center Education, Community outreach and audience development events

This is a paid internship. Interns are paid $11.00  for a 20 hour a week commitment.
