OVERVIEW

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA) serves three primary roles: it is the world’s leading presenter of superb artistic programming, is a national leader in arts education and community relations, and functions as the manager of the Lincoln Center campus.


Lincoln Center’s Programming Department is the producer of Great Performers, the White Light Festival, American Songbook, and the Mostly Mozart Festival. Presenting in various performance spaces on Lincoln Center’s campus and throughout NYC, the Programming Department oversees all aspects of these performance series and festivals – from the artistic vision to the production of the concerts, including related educational activities.


The Temporary Seasonal Company Manager for the Mostly Mozart Festival will work directly with the Producer and Director, Contemporary Programming. The Temporary Seasonal Company Manager is responsible for scheduling and facilitating communication for performances, rehearsals and other events related to the production.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


* Arranges and negotiates all transportation needs, hotels/housing and per diems for artists and production staff
* Addresses general needs for artists and production staff, monitoring rehearsals and performances
* Serves as liaison between directors, conductors, musicians, choreographers, dancers, singers, performers and other creative personnel and the Programming department
* Manages, maintains and distributes the Master Schedule to production staff, artists, assistants and Lincoln Center staff.
* Manages the hiring of assistant/runners for dance rehearsals, as well as their schedules and payroll.
* Manages and negotiates the rental of additional rehearsal spaces, including finalizing and negotiating contracts, processing payments and general maintenance of the rehearsal space.
* Manages instrument and equipment rentals as requested by the artists for rehearsals and performances.
* Arranges artist hospitality according to the contracted needs of the different riders of the artists.
* Handles budget management, making decisions that have a direct impact on the production, related to housing, hospitality and transportation.
* Oversees check requests for artists and processing of payments.
* Serves as the main point of contact for visiting artists and production staff during performance and rehearsal times.
* Organizes Meets & Greets for visiting artists and staff.


QUALIFICATIONS

* Excellent organizational and written/oral communication skills
* Meticulous attention to detail
* Ability to multi-task and work with great accuracy under pressure
* Ability to multi-task and work with great accuracy under pressure
* Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong PC computer skills in Microsoft Office. Arts Vision or similar databases a plus.
* Interest in the performing arts and/or classical music knowledge is desirable
* B.A. in arts-related program or equivalent education/experience
* Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.


Expected start/end dates are July 5, 2017 – Aug 25, 2017.
