OVERVIEW

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA) serves three primary roles: it is the world’s leading presenter of superb artistic programming, is a national leader in arts education and community relations, and functions as the manager of the Lincoln Center campus, which is home to 11 separate resident organizations. LCPA presents over 350 performances annually throughout our different performance series including American Songbook, Great Performers, Live from Lincoln Center, Lincoln Center Festival, Mostly Mozart Festival, Midsummer Night Swing, Lincoln Center Out of Doors and White Light Festival.

In addition, LCPA supports an array of programs for Lincoln Center Education including its community and family programming. Further, LCPA supports initiatives related to events at the David Rubenstein Atrium, LC Kids, as well as numerous key institutional initiatives and projects.

The Information Resources department manages our Archives and our Records Management program. The department plays a key role in preserving and making available information that has enduring informational value and historical significance to Lincoln Center as well as working on long-term projects and initiatives. The Temporary Archives Assistant will report to our Archivist and will provide administrative assistance to support the department.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process invoices and expenses and assist with coordinating relevant purchases for the department
• Coordinate deliveries and returns of records
• Assist with environmental monitoring of stack spaces
• Answer routine queries and assist on complex queries
• Compile data on reference activities
• Update and edit data in InMagic Presto database related to records, ensuring information entered is thorough, accurate, and in line with data standards
• Perform data entry into performance database and process house programs
• Assist with managing the department’s information
• Manage bi-weekly shredding cycle


QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
• Excellent written communication skills
• Strong customer service orientation
• Prior experience or educational background in History, Library Science, or a related field preferred but not required
• Prior experience working with databases and online software
