Matron -  Women’s Restroom Attendant

Matrons perform housekeeping services in concert halls’ restrooms and care for the uniforms of hall staff. They are to provide Lincoln Center patrons with exceptional customer service, ensuring that all interactions are of the utmost quality. Matrons must always greet and assist patrons in a friendly and inviting manner.

The role of Matron is a Part-Time position and hours can vary weekly. Matrons are scheduled to work as needed, based on the halls’ calendar of events. Please note, that the schedule for this position changes weekly.

Responsibilities for the role of Matron include but are not limited to:

•    Maintain cleanliness of women’s restrooms and locker rooms of the Concert Hall
•    Monitor women’s restrooms during walk in, intermission, and exit of performances.
•    Clean all women’s restrooms after performances and assist in back-of-house cleaning as-needed.
•    Provide high level of customer service to all patrons.
•    Politely request and/or remind patrons to comply with house policies.
•    Acquire extensive knowledge of facilities to give accurate directions for all ancillary spaces (i.e. water fountains, coat check, intermission bars, etc.)
•    Track inventory of cleaning supplies, and report any necessary repairs.
•    Effectively resolve any problems that need to be addressed.

Required Qualifications:

•    Ability to lift at least 25lbs
•    Capable of standing for varying periods of time
•    Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
•    Demonstrate a polite, patient and helpful attitude
•    Flexible availability is a must, including being able to work during matinee, evening, and weekend performances
